Reading has always been a huge part of my life but since having my little girl Iv had to take a step back from books due to the sheer hecticness of being a mummy!
How I longed to sit there with a good book I could get lost in before I had to put it away and do my mummy duties. You can just imagine how excited I was when I was approached and asked to do a write up of the new 2016 range of Galaxy quick reads!
So what are quick reads I hear you ask! Well quick reads are bite-sized books which have been written by best-selling authors. Small enough to read a few chapters during a lunch break, bus ride or like me in between my daughters nap times. These books cost just £1 so they most certainly won't break the bank.
I was sent 4 books out of the 6 which were published this year and I'll be making my way through them one by one. I was also send a delicious bar of Galaxy chocolate but was unfortunately too slow at getting to my mail and before I got to eat some my daughter and fiancé had already devoured the whole bar! I was not happy!
The 2016 titles and authors are:
- Agatha Christie (edited by Sophie Hannah and John Curran) - The Double Clue: Poirot Short Stories
- Ann Cleeves - Too Good to be True
- Lucy Diamond - A Baby at the Beach Café
- Veronica Henry (editor) - The Anniversary: Ten Tempting Stories From Ten Bestselling Authors
- Andy McNab - On the Rock
- Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb - I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban (An Abridged Edition)
There's certainly a book for everyone.
I'm currently half way through A baby at the beach and will be doing book reviews of them one by one.
Iv always been a huge fan of giving personalized gifts. Gifts that people can relate to and keep as a keepsake for years to come and enjoy over and over again.
I See Me have some of the most beautiful personalized gifts for children. Ranging from stickers to music there's a gift for every child.
Iv recently been sent a beautiful personalized book from
iseeme.com for my 16 month old daughter. She truly loves to sit there with a whole bunch of books and as she can't read just yet she points at the pictures and you can quietly hear her muttering which I can only put down to her trying to make up stories for herself.
Bed time consists of cuddles and story reading too so reading is a huge part of her life. Being able to relate to the book in the way of seeing her picture in the book and mummy reading her name out is an added bonus.
Seeing her picture in the book always puts a smile on her face.
The I See Me books are fully customizable from the details of the Child to signs and names throughout the book. I was able to add names of family members and friends which she can recognize as I say them.
The books are very colorful and well illustrated which helps hold the child's attention.
The only let down with these books is that I coudnt find any board type books which can't be ripped but these pages do feel much thicker then a normal paper style book.
She really seems to enjoy reading this book and has now made it as her bedtime reading book. Already we have read it a handful of times and she shows no sign of getting board of it anytime soon. I would say this is a huge success gift for her! Iv gaind a few mummy points!
With Valentines day and also Easter coming up these would make great gifts in replacement to chocolate.
Would you rather gift a persoanlized gift or just any gift?
This months Nonabox is a cracker! Just what iv been waiting for! A whole heap of weaning foods!
As my little girl started to wean not long ago I'm so glad to receive these products. She's tried a few Jared food in the past but as I love to cook my own food for her (So I know exactly what's been added) I haven't seemed to try her with many different ones.
This morning after receiving this box I tried Sophie with an Ella's Kitchen baby brekkie pouch and she couldn't swallow it fast enough. She absolutely loves it! These pouches come in handy on days out or just trips to the supermarket.

Ella's Rasin + Prune Baby Brekkie has a 100% mix of raisins, Prunes, Yoghurt and rice which to me does not sound like a very nice breakfast but Sophie loved it. She normally turns her nose up at new foods and heaves but this time she finished off the whole pouch all but a few spoons.

*Palmer's Coca Butter Formula skin therapy oil is an advanced multi-purpose oil. It can be used all over the body including the face.
Its meant to improve the appearance of scars, Stretch marks (which i now have a load of), Dry and damaged skin and uneven skin tone. 9/10 of those things i have so this product will certainly be used to improve those areas and i will do a review in a few months to see if its worked.
*Child's Farm Hair And Body Wash is suitable from birth onwards. it contains organic sweet orange essential oil and argan oil to cut through the grime and gently moisturises.
As i use nothing but Johnsons on Sophie's skin i will be passing this on to a friend or family member to use.

Cloud B- Sleep Sheep Aroma Pillow is an adorable plush sheep that doubles as a pillow. It has a removable pouch of soothing lavender that calms children to sleep. Sophie loves to cuddle her pillow and it has a Velcro holder at the side which iv attached her dummy to and she falls soundly off to sleep with it. As she's only 6 months i wont be using this as a pillow just yet but its fine for her to cuddle and it seems to sooth her.
All in all im very pleased with this box and i cant wait to receive the next box. Really feels like Christmas has come again when we receive this box and its always a great surprise when we open them and see what's inside.

Nonabox is an amazing monthly subscription box service. You receive this box every month throughout your pregnancy up until your baby is 2 years old. Each box is tailored to your stage in pregnancy or the age of the child and gender.
It costs just £25 per month(Including P&P) but the box certainly totals more!

Me and Sophie were thrilled when the box arrived and couldn't wait to open it! The box was so eye catching. A beautiful purple top with a silver/Grey box and white writing. The colours contrast so well and the box is reusable.
I found out that the blogger boxes are not actually tailored to the person reviewing them and are just a taster of what is in the standard boxes which people receive. None of the less i was thrilled with the products id gotten.

As my little girl is only 8 weeks old she could only use a few products in the box. One of these were the Snooze Baby comfort toy which she adores. She loves to cuddle up to it while shes settling to sleep and refuses to settle without it. Its definitely become a great part of her bedtime.
The tags provide her with different textures to touch. This helps her fine motor skills develop.
All in all im really impressed with the box and i cant wait until i get next months box. Hopefully there is more for Sophie to use at her age.
Have you ever had Nonabox? what are your thoughts?
